YouSpeak: Surviving a New England Winter

Last week brought classic Indian Summer weather—temperatures so balmy that many reached again for their t-shirts and shorts. But a freak snowfall October 29 that left much of the Boston area without power for days served as reminder that winter is just around the corner. And, if the 2012 Farmer's Almanac is to be believed, "much heavier than normal precipitation" is forecast for the East coast in the coming months, with several "potent" storms predicted for February.
