She talked about what attracted her to the Armani show. American rock icon Tina Turner attended Emporio Armani's autumn/winter 2010/11 Women's Wear show in Milan on Saturday. Going with a total black leather look with jacket and trousers, Turner took time to pose for photographers and meet the press before seeing the collection. The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll was asked by reporters why she was attracted to the Armani show. [Tina Turner, American Singer]: "Why? For so many reasons. Elegance, practicality. It's a world of Armani, and the clothes, and the house, and the new addition of Emporio is important to me because it works." One reporter asked how she felt about Armani himself. For more information on this vehicle visit tinyurl.com Painted in awesome Fathom Blue and finished with obligatory white racing stripes, this show stopping 1970 Chevelle Super Sport has been frame off restored to LS6 454 status. Born at GM's Flint Michigan assembly plant in February of 1970 as a V8 Malibu sport coupe, this Chevelle originally wore two shades of green paint and a green fabric interior. More recently, it benefitted from a complete frame off restoration where it was coated in GM code 28 Fathom Blue and battle dressed in white SS stripes. The result is one straight and solid Chevrolet that looks simply spectacular. In 1970 the LS6 Turbo Fire 454 in the Chevelle SS was conservatively rated at 450 horsepower but produced well over 500 horsepower. In addition to receiving real deal 1970 LS6 block and heads, this road ready Chevelles engine bay was detailed to a very high level and would likely fair very well on the show circuit. Raise the hood and you'll find a correctly functioning cowl induction system hovering over a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Below that carburetor, a Winter aluminum intake holds a Chevrolet Orange thermostat housing which perfectly matches the cars spotless Chevrolet Orange engine block. Behind that thermostat housing, a plate stamped with the big blocks firing order complements correct decals and factory markings throughout the engine bay; and a fresh coil and distributor send sparks down fresh AC Delco wires which cross factory ...

Boy Set On Fire Kansas Missouri Police Search 2 Suspects (Links Below)

Two teenagers allegedly attacked a 13-year-old boy and set him on fire with gasoline in what police in Missouri are investigating as a possible hate crime. The eighth grader was walking home from Kansas City's East High School around 3 pm last Tuesday when he noticed two older teens following him, KMBC reports. "And they rushed him on the porch as he tried to get the door open," the boy's mother Melissa Coontold KCTV. "One of them poured the gasoline, then flicked the [lighter], and said, 'This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy'." Police said that both suspects are black. Authorities rushed the victim to Children's Mercy Hospital where doctors treated him for first degree burns to the face. Doctors are concerned about injuries to the boy's eyes and lungs, according to KTLA. The student is now home recovering from the incident, but Coon says her family will never be the same. "My five year old came in this morning and asked me, 'Mom, am I going to get set on fire today?' I was in tears," the mother told KMBC. Coon said her son will not be returning to the school. Authorities described the two suspects are about 16 years old with facial hair. One was wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt and dark sunglasses. Count Ohne Titel's Alexa Adams and Flora Gill among the several designers playing with the idea of protection this week: clothing as shield against harsher elements. Underlining the idea of cocooning, smooth black caps, a collaboration with Albertus Swanepoel, were pulled low over models' eyes while faces were often half buried in funnel-like circular scarves. After venturing in a more colorful and feminine direction last season, Adams and Gill proclaimed a return to something tougher and architectural. The overall look was sleeker, harkening back to their urban-warrior roots and the fierce luxury of tops pieced out of shearling, leather, and fur that snapped insiders to attention a few seasons ago.But there was evidence here of attempting to bridge the difference. The zippered jacket on the first look out, for instance, had the feel of an armored doublet, but turned a bit sweeter with a pleated skirt. Keeping to a tight color palette of mostly black and white?an idea inspired by textile artist Sheila Hicks, who wove newspaper into some of her work?the designers used their wicked knitting skills to create great graphic jacquard textures, an element that was the highlight of this show. "Man in the Mirror" is a song by Michael Jackson. It peaked at number one in the United States when released as a single in the spring of 1988 off his seventh solo album, Bad. It is one of Jackson's most critically acclaimed songs and it was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards. The song garnered massive airplay and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. It was only a moderate hit in the UK at the time of its release, peaking at number 21 and becoming the only single from Bad not to reach the UK Top 20 on first release. However, on July 5, 2009, following the news of Jackson's death, the song charted at number 2 in the official UK Singles Chart, having re-entered the chart at 11 the previous week. Char Griller Duo with Side Fire Box and Mods

I recently purchased a Char-Griller Duo Model 5050 and a Side Fire Box Model 2-2424. I got them from local retail. The Duo had several damages inside the box. The company promptly corrected the decencies. The grill works great out of the box with gas and with charcoal in the adjustable burner tray. The paint is cheap and burned off of the trouble spots on the side fire box within 2 hours of the first firing. With the side fire box added flipping the burner tray over doesn't provide enough of a baffle to adequately distribute heat and smoke in the cook chamber. I built a water reservoir baffle and heat tuning plates that fit in the contour of the cook chamber. These would fit in just about any offset smoker of this style. They help to baffle the heat and smoke down and across the cook chamber and up through the gaps between the tuning plates. I have never been a fan of extending the chimney to the cook surface with the flex tube because I dont care for the look and taking up the cook space. I fashioned a false wall in the lid that covers the chimney opening and directs the flow to a one inch gap along the entire left edge of the cook surface. You can look down the chimney and see the smoke pulling evenly all along the baffle. If I were making this lid from scratch I would double wall the cold end by one inch and elbow the chimney into the end of the lid instead of the top. This would put the chimney input at grate level all along the cold side of the grill. My next mod is ...

It's tempting to think that Giorgio Armani was anticipating a certain amount of criticism when he named his latest Emporio collection Little Winter Follies. There was certainly one element of folly here: To wit, the collection's wholesale endorsement of knee britches (the show notes called them bermudas), sometimes paired with skirts or dresses. In velvet, with jackets to match, it was hard to escape associations with Thomas Gainsborough's classic eighteenth-century painting The Blue Boy. Today's recipe for adventure: one female black lab, four to five feet of snow with more falling, a good shoeshoe hike in and out, knife and axe testing while setting up a survival shelter, and snowy firemaking in a remote area high in the Rocky Mountains! Taking place again in the "Nutnfancy Knife Clinic" (hey we haven't been here in awhile), the solitude we achieve in this winter wonderland is breath taking. But the work sure wasn't! Making a survival camp a reality in these conditions takes a lot work (hard to appreciate really until you do it!). Allie and I simulate a stuck-out survival situation in these harsh conditions and set up a survival campsite (using the portable Coghlans® brand orange plastic tube tent). This scenario was realistic and provided good gear testing opportunities. As I've done before, I show a lot of the work necessary to find and process standing deadwood into useable dry firewood with sharp edges that ignite more readily. We fall several dead trees in the process with the Cold Steel Trail Boss axe, Norse Tomahawk (very good performance for weight), and Sawvivor backpack saw and split a few other blades too (like the Dow Coated 3400A Ontario RAT-7 knife shown!). The womens collection is gently deconstructured, softness in shapes and materials. In combination we have challenged manufacturing by adding traditional mens tailoring in womens coats. Width and volume is the silhouette, often created by doubling the fabric. The mens collection contain many garments where the style is doubled or stands as a hybrid between garments - a play with definitions. The colours; black and white with a deep emerald green as an accent together with skin tones, sand and winter white.

Edwing D'Angelo - Fall Winter 2011 Given his family background in tailoring, Edwing D'Angelo did not disappoint in his Fall Winter 2010 runway show. An homage to the timeless elegance of the 40's and 50's, his collection featured finely constructed pieces in sumptuous fabrics like silk organza, Italian wool, and bridal satin. Without a puckered seam or unfinished hem in sight, D'Angelo's handcrafted creations were on par with those of Parisian couture houses. For women, D'Angelo sought to cater to the needs of the modern New Yorker. He dealed his designs mainly in black but with surprising accents. Topped in veiled and plumed pillbox hats, models paraded down the runway in flounced organza skirts and body-conscious lace sheaths. While a daring, though minimally functional, gold lamé ruffled cape dazzled the audience, the clear favorite was a black, feathered ball gown accented with an oversize red bow. However, the biggest showstoppers of the night were the Great Danes led by some of the models, adding a dramatic, yet distracting, element to the show. For men, D'Angelo favored neatly tailored three-piece suits accented with his signature red-orange lining. While the majority of the looks were harmonious in their classic sophistication, certain pieces rang discordantly—namely, a lacquered black crocodile blazer that was more reminiscent of glam rock than post-war fashion.
